Inspired by a Rembrandt painting, Milan-based still-life and portrait photographer Fabio Petroni created a series of intimate portraits of horses that highlight the uniqueness of each animal. The photographs are now collected in Horses: Master Portraits, a lush, oversize coffee-table book published in November 2010.
